Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice across a broad range of areas including tax structuring, small business concessions, superannuation, GST, CGT, and FBT
- Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for various entity types - individuals, trusts, partnerships, and companies
- Deliver tailored tax planning scenarios and resolve complex compliance issues
- Review work prepared by junior and intermediate staff, providing guidance and mentoring
- Maintain strong client relationships, delivering timely and value-added outcomes
- Complete engagements within agreed timeframes and budgets, with a strong emphasis on quality and self-review
Skills & Experience
Essential
- 4-10 years of experience in an Australian public practice environment
- Strong technical tax knowledge and commercial acumen
- Ability to manage your workflow and work autonomously
- Proven experience using cloud-based accounting systems including Xero and Xero Tax
- CA, CPA or IPA qualification (preferred but not essential)
- A collaborative and proactive mindset, with excellent communication skills
