Our client, disAbility Living Inc. was established in 1984 to provide long term community accommodation and lifestyle support for young adults with disabilities.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, Client Services, Supported Independent Living (SIL) Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery of quality services to clients within disability residential support. The Manager is responsible for ensuring person-centred principles are enacted to support client safety, well-being and achievement of their goals.
This role is also responsible for leading the retention and ongoing development and growth of services in relation to client SIL requirements. The incumbent will provide leadership and management of employees responsible for building independence and quality of life for DLi clients.
The Manager is also responsible for ensuring services are planned and executed in alignment with the client's NDIS plans and goals, the NDIS Code of Conduct and the NDIS Practice Standards. The incumbent will also build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their support teams.

Qualification Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in disability, allied health, developmental education, or related field, or equivalent experience at a senior or management level within the disability sector.
Qualifications in Management/Leadership, and/or demonstrated ability and experience.
Theory and competency-based training as deemed required is completed and maintained.
Current and valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or DHS Disability Clearance.
Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Current South Australian Drivers Licence.
Proof of the right to work in Australia.
NDIS Quality, Safety and You Certificate.
Child Safe Environments certificate if working with children under 18 years of age.
Other training may be required according to Client needs.
Skill Requirements:
High level of demonstrated knowledge of NDIS requirements, including but not limited to NDIS Practice Standards, Quality & Safeguarding, skills descriptors, reportable incidents/complaints, Price Guide and NDIS Commission regulatory compliance.
Clinical Governance experience allied health function.
Ability to turn strategy into actions and periodically evaluate and report on achievements.
Demonstrated ability to develop and lead a high performing team.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating, managing and leading quality service delivery under the NDIS, in particular, disability accommodation across multiple residential sites.
Highly experienced in the management and leadership of a diverse workforce across a 24/7 workforce roster of service.
Experience in leading teams in the delivery of service excellence within disability support and / or in community services settings.
A sound understanding of Industrial and Human Resource requirements when managing employees.
Previous experience supporting people with complex needs and challenging behaviours including ABI, physical and cognitive disability.
Experience in the provision of case management/case coordination of services.
Highly experienced in applying person-centred practice and positive behaviour support plans in a disability residential setting.
Demonstrated experience in identifying growth opportunities to increase client outcomes and organisational revenue.
Special Conditions
Initial and continued employment with disAbility Living is subject to the following special conditions:
You must have and maintain a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check as per DLi policy.
Comply with all DLi policies procedures, reporting requirements including Work Health and Safety legislation and NDIS Quality & Safeguards requirements.
Some work outside of normal business hours and on-call support may be required.
Assisting with hands on client support if required.
Current South Australian Driver's licence or ability to travel independently to other DLi sites.
Maintenance of mandatory training certifications as required by disAbility Living.
Must have and maintain a current and valid First Aid Certificate.
Agreement to be relocated to another DLi site within the organisation as required.
Agreement to undergo medical or functional capacity evaluation by a practitioner of disAbility Living's choosing should disAbility Living reasonably believe this is required.
