The Australian Orthopaedic Association National Joint Replacement Registry (AOANJRR) is an internationally recognised clinical quality registry involved in a number of exciting research and development projects. The Project Manager has a key role in supporting and coordinating the implementation of a range of projects that the registry undertakes. In addition to coordinating projects, you will participate and support other activities as required. You will be key in maintaining positive stakeholder relationships, developing project documentation, plans, updates, reports, meeting ethics requirements and will undertake a variety of complex administrative duties.

 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Support a small project team to undertake a range of high-level project coordination duties
  • In conjunction with the Manager liaise with SAHMRI Project Team and IT to meet the requirements of the projects
  • Plan, undertake, and oversee project related tasks
  • Act as a key liaison point in relation to the project progress and objectives with a range of stakeholders
  • Coordinate groups and other project meetings, including agendas, minutes and action items
  • Prepare papers, briefings, reports and presentations for a range of audiences
  • Build and sustain relationships with an extensive network of internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and support data collection sites
  • Identify and report on risks to projects and implement risk strategies
  • Monitor project progress against the timeline and budget
     

Skills & Experience: 

  • A degree qualification in a relevant field
  • A demonstrated high-level of project and event management experience
  • Able to supervise and support a small team
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills with the ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • A high level of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and experience in the use of project management  and related software
  • Previous experience in medical or medical research would be highly advantageous
  • Previous experience in IT projects or data management would be an advantage
