Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of marine construction projects
- Adhere to quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements whilst upholding the reputation of the company
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities, to ensure effective project coordination and progress.
- Oversee the construction of marine structures, such as jetties, wharves, boat ramps, and bridges, from concept to completion
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to achieve project objectives.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and environmental guidelines
- Effectively communicate project status, challenges, and opportunities to diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and address potential issues or delays, proactively implementing corrective actions as required
- Evaluate project performance, identifying areas for continuous improvement
- Travel to project locations as required
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in marine construction
- Strong knowledge of marine construction methodologies, materials, and equipment.
- Proven ability to manage and communicate with a variety of diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Exception verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
- Commitment to safety and a track record of promoting a culture of safety on construction sites.
