About the Role
We have an exciting and unique opportunity with one of our reputed Australia's Defence industry clients - The Naval Shipbuilding College, our client is an Australian Government initiative supporting the naval shipbuilding industry and associated supply chain in identifying, and skilling the workforce needed to build and sustain the Royal Australian Navy's future fleet.
This position reports directly to the NSC Talent Acquisition Manager and will work with and support other Candidate Engagement Consultants. This role will be responsible for the front-end engagement with the prospective workforce entering the Workforce Register and Jobs Portal.

Conducting interviews to induct prospective candidates into the NSC Workforce Register and Jobs Portal
Appraising candidates to either training and skilling requirements necessary for their preferred career desires, or pointing them to specific job openings based upon experience and interests
Evaluating employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, physical and personal qualifications, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral
Keeping records of appropriate recruitment documentation, including but not limited to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Delivery Model updates and recruitment reporting
Co-developing and updating sourcing strategies/initiatives/processes based upon industry priorities, industry talent acquisition strategies and the available workforce demand and supply data
Attending events as required
Sourcing candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
Building candidate talent pool aligned to industry priority roles
Close engagement with the Talent Acquisition departments in the shipbuilding partner companies
Skills and Experience
Substantial experience in recruitment/talent acquisition/resourcing (minimum 3 years)
Experience in ATS/CRM systems and the agility to learn quickly
Defence/ shipbuilding/ maritime/ engineering recruitment experience will be a huge plus!
Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies
Extensive experience in talent pipe-lining, market mapping using a range of recruitment techniques
Ability to manage a diverse group of stakeholders
Situational knowledge of what is occurring within the Defence/Shipbuilding industry from media, research etc
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent problem-solving skills and solutions focussed
