Duties & Responsibilities:
- Performing welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
- Performing clamping, heat-bending, and grinding of components
- Reading and understanding blueprints for the location, position, and dimension of parts
- Avoiding warping, shrinking, expansion and distortion of materials
- Inspecting work products for any defects and made necessary corrections
- Troubleshooting and correctly diagnosing solutions to technical problems encountered in the workplace
- Providing support with quality management traceability
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance duties on a large variety of projects
- Identifying problems during welding and adjusting work accordingly
- Performing inspections, clean ups, storage, and disposal of a variety of materials and products
Skills & Experience:
- Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade or Relevant transferrable qualification
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work in a team and independently
- Strong commitment to safety principals
- Detail oriented, able to work and make critical decisions under pressure
- Being physically fit to perform heavy tasks
