Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with Accounts Receivable functions
- Ensure revenue recognition is recorded in accordance with relevant standards
- Calculate annual payroll liabilities and returns
- Prepare journal entries including payroll-related, bank, accruals, prepayments, AR/AP, inventory, project and general postings
- Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis of accounts as requested
- Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
- Maintain general ledger operations to enable the production of complete and accurate financial statements
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet, revenue and expense accounts including bank reconciliations and investigate differences and/or anomalies
- Calculate and prepare tax computations and returns for payroll tax, BAS/GST, income tax, FBT, statutory payroll deductions and other taxes as required
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts
- Review and process expense reports as required
Skills & Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or similar
- CPA qualified (advantageous)
- Previous experience of general accounting
- Experience with reporting and knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finances and taxation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite especially Microsoft excel
