About the Role

Reporting to the Program Manager, we are looking for a highly detailed Scheduling and Planning Specialist to ensure the development and completion of job progress milestones. The role involves coordinating with managers, work group leads and team members to provide priorities for projects to guarantee completion.

 

Duties

  • Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis
  • Assist with project implementation and execution, including quality assurance and risk analysis
  • Display commitment to understanding the expectations of internal and external clients
  • Accurately deal with instructions, messages, minutes, document registration etc.
  • Produce accurate, timely and well-presented documents that conform to style and format standards
  • Meet internal requirements for processes such as document registration and control
  • Provide reports in various formats as directed
  • Provide assistance under direction, with other aspects of project controls as required
  • Interpret the contractual scope of work, organisational and execution plan requirements
  • Maintain detailed work breakdown structures
  • Support and perform project co-ordination and ad-hoc activities as requested

 

Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree and or 2 plus years of equivalent field experience
  • Knowledge of standard concepts within project controls
  • Works effectively with others to deliver team results
  • Demonstrate strong computer literacy skills with high proficiency in the use of MS Office tools along with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or similar
  • Possess advanced organisational and communication skills, ability to think logically and problem solve and have excellent attention to detail
  • Carry out multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines
  • High level of written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate key messages aligned with the organisations direction and values
