About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will provide engineering development and management of the organisations capital and forward works programmes. You will develop and manage the technical civil projects, ensuring customer service, risk management ensuring principals and legislative requirements are managed throughout. Additionally, you will work with strategic planners and the asset team leaders for the development of future projects. You will Provide technical oversight to the Engineering and where required to the Design team for the Capital Works Program.
Duties
Manage the preparation of preliminary concepts, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
Oversee the application for Development Approval
Conduct handover meetings
Liaise with relevant government departments, service authorities and other stakeholders
Engineering investigation preparation, recommendation and advice
Review engineering standards and requirements
Develop business cases
Preparation of applications for projects for revenant subsidy
Take on Public consultation
Manage all aspects of Stormwater management and creation
Provide technical expertise in the delivery of master planned facilities projects, including monitoring of delivery and performance
Provide expert advice to all stakeholders, including staff and customers
Provide technical expertise in the development and updating of Preliminary and Concept Plans
Contribute to the organisation's development of long-term financial strategy, including preparation of funding projections
Skills and experience
Chartered engineer or professional equivalent
Must have 8-10 year's experience at Senior Engineer level
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Previous experience providing consulting advise to technical project teams
Significant understanding of civil, transport and drainage engineering and design principals, technical literature, standards, manual and codes of practise
Demonstrated experience in Asset Management Planning and the implementation of annual capital works programs
Possess a considerable understanding of strategic planning and management of civil, transport and drainage infrastructure
Have experience in Infrastructure Risk Management
