Job Description

  • Above average hourly rate with full time hours
  • 6 Month Temp Assignment
  • Adelaide CBD Location

The Receptionist/Administration Officer will be the first point of contact of the department and provide a professional and efficient reception service to all customers on site.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Meet/greet customers/visitors and provide a friendly reception service
  • Answer and transfer phone calls and take accurate phone messages and identify urgent issues that require instant attention
  • Produce professional letters, minutes and other documents as required
  • Maintain an accurate booking system for the boardroom and meetings set up
  • Maintain accurate and current contact information
  • Managing incoming and outgoing files using the Objective records management system
  • Maintain an adequate supply of equipment and materials by stock control and stationary purchasing

Skills & Experience: 

  • Proven experience in a similar role within Government in a corporate environment
  • A high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience handling queries with a sense of urgency
  • Proven ability to handle high volumes of work and deal with competing demands
  • Knowledge of administrative practices and procedures of the State Public Service
  • Proven experience using Objective Workflows and Outlook software
  • Hold a current DCSI – Child Related Employment Clearance
