Job Description

Working as apart of the team in this contract position within a Government Department, you will be reporting directly to the Manager of Freedom of Information.

What will you do?

On a daily basis you will be required to assist in the provision of effective FOI services and responding to applications made under the Freedom of Information Act 1991. You will be handling large volumes of work within stringent guidelines and constantly engaged in cross agency interactions.

Working hours:

Flexible, Part Time working hours are negotiable in this role spanning across 3-5 days per week for 5-6 hours each day.

This is a casual position contracted until Jan/Feb next year (2020).

Skills and Experience:

  • FOI Accredited – Local, State or Federal experience preferred
  • Demonstrated political nous and knowledge of government
  • Experience interpreting and applying legislation
  • Systems experience with Office 365 Suite of products, Adobe, Sharepoint and government Records Management systems will be highly regarded.

Special Conditions:

Flexible work arrangements are available and the role may be offered on a full or part time basis. This role has been classified as a position of trust. The incumbent is subject to a satisfactory criminal history/record check in line with departmental policies and procedures and a DCSI general employment probity clearance.
