About the role

The Customer Support Officer will provide first level advice and support to management and staff on all system support matters. You must have proven experience in a help desk support role and have excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills. This will be a temp role working full time hours in the western suburbs of Adelaide.

Duties

  • Provide first level advice and system support to all staff in accordance with established government policies and procedures
  • Provide professional, responsive, timely and effective assistance to customers in accordance with established service level determinations and service designs
  • Effectively manage all customer requests through to completion, using a case management tool
  • Actively contribute to the improvement of the system support customer service desk
  • Assist in technical implementation of system support strategies, products, migrations and enhancements as required
  • Foster appropriate internal controls and quality assurance systems within the work area
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of business activities created and received in accordance with the State Records Act 1997 and policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the promotion and implementation of public sector principles and practices


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working in a 1st Level Service Desk environment, preferably within system support
  • Hold a current National Police Clearance
  • Experience in accounts payable and/or procurement, HRMS or Financial Management systems
  • Proficient in the use of Chris 21
  • Proven ability to negotiate and communicate, both written and verbally
  • Proven analytical ability to identify problems and develop and implement solutions
  • Extensive experience working with a variety of application software, including word processing, spreadsheets, operating systems and complex relational databases
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite
  • An awareness of the relevant legislation, policies and procedures
